The Department of Nursing has four (4) Research Laboratories that aims to promote scientific knowledge and research, as recorded in their regulations.<\/p>\n

  1. Research Laboratory entitled \u00abDiabetes mellitus and metabolism\u00bb<\/a><\/li>\n
  2. Research Laboratory entitled \u00abBiology & Histology, Microscopy & Image Analysis, Systematics & Biometrics\u00bb<\/a><\/li>\n
  3. Research Laboratory entitled \u00abCare of Adult Patients with Cancer\u00bb<\/a><\/li>\n
  4. Research Laboratory on Neurological Diseases and Nursing Research Interventions<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    More specifically, the purpose of the four laboratories of the Department of Nursing is:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • Promotion of science in health sciences.<\/li>\n
    • Support the conduct of research to meet the research needs of the Department of Nursing.<\/li>\n
    • Support the preparation of undergraduate\/postgraduate\/doctoral theses and facilitate the conduct of internships through collaboration with various institutions.<\/li>\n
    • Providing counseling, nursing and other health services and meeting various social needs, when and where specific assistance is requested on issues related to the scope of the laboratory.<\/li>\n
    • Training of undergraduate and postgraduate students of the Department of Nursing and other Departments of the International Hellenic University in the subject of the laboratory.<\/li>\n
    • Support the initiation of new independent or funded research projects and coordinating the conduct of research in the Department of Nursing.<\/li>\n
    • Promotion of cooperation with other academic institutions and research centers in Greece and abroad, which have related or complementary interests.<\/li>\n
    • Promotion of cooperation with public organizations or private companies for the practical application of the results they produce, in collaboration with the Research Committee and the Foundation’s Special Account.<\/li>\n
    • Publication of the results and development of its research activities in national or international conferences and in reputable scientific journals.<\/li>\n
    • Organizing of seminars, workshops, symposia, conferences and lectures that promote and improve the quality of care provided and aim to inform nurses and other health professionals.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
